We are also happy to announce that we recently won a lawsuit involving a homeowner dispute between two sisters.

Our client had purchased the home some time ago, put all the money down, and made all the improvements to the home so that she could live there, while also placing the home in the name of her sister (for credit history reasons).

At the end of all the improvements, the sister refused to comply with her part of the agreement and deed the house over to our client.

So, we had to go to trial. We won, and our client gets her home back. She was very happy.

Often Forgotten Traffic Law Leads to Fatality

Ohio’s ‘move over, slow down’ law was ignored and led to one death and four injuries.

Ohio’s ‘move over, slow down’ law was ignored and led to one death and four injuries.

As reported by 13 Action News, a recent tragedy could have been avoided had a passing truck slowed down and switched lanes as the law states when an emergency vehicle is pulled over by the side of the road.

“Ohio does have a law ‘move over, slow down’ for any emergency vehicles on the shoulder whether it’s police, fire ambulance, tow trucks, road crew, whoever,” Ohio State Highway Patrol Lieutenant Rustun Schack said. “If someone is on the shoulder you are required to move over and change lanes while passing those people on the shoulder.”

Teach your young drivers this vital law that could save lives.

If you or your teens do find yourself facing charges, contact us immediately.

Highway Patrol Cracks Down on Seat Belt Use

Don’t let summer road trips cost you in fines and tickets and buckle up everyone in your family.

In an effort to ensure safety, Ohio along with six other states are ticketing for not being properly restrained.

“Ohio’s safety belt law is still a secondary violation, but troopers say there is zero-tolerance when drivers are stopped for other violations and are found to not be wearing their safety belt,” as reported by WLWT5 News.

With this new measure, traffic stops will also include officers making sure passengers and drivers are all wearing their seat belts.

Don’t let summer road trips cost you in fines and tickets and buckle up everyone in your family.

It’s vital to remind those new drivers of the importance of staying buckled too and if you or your teen finds themselves facing charges, contact us immediately.

Summer Fun Can Turn Dangerous

As we begin summer vacation with lots of time on their hands, it’s important to educate your teens.

School is over and as we begin summer vacation it’s important to educate your teens.

Whether it’s house parties, underage drinking or driving under the influence, they often have nothing but time on their hands which can lead to serious trouble.

And we can’t forget about those July 4th parties. “In 2019, 515 people died in motor vehicle crashes over the July 4th holiday period (6 p.m. July 3 – 5:59 a.m. July 8, 2019). Thirty-eight percent (198) of those fatalities occurred in alcohol-impaired-driving crashes,” according to the United States Department of Transportation.

Drive sober or don’t drive at all. And take the time to sit with your of-age students who are home for the summer who may not realize the long-term impact a DUI can have.

If you or someone you love is arrested, we are here 24/7 even on holidays so contact us immediately.
