Governor DeWine Orders Body Cams for State Troopers
Gov. Mike DeWine has stated all Ohio State Public Safety Officers will be wearing body cameras.
“This effort means 1,550 body cams and 1,221 new in-car systems will distributed and installed over a 5-year period at a cost of $15 million,” reported Mount Vernon News.
This will ensure a greater visualization during regular traffic stops, DUI, drug arrests and more.
“For incidents such as impaired driving, criminal and drug investigations, body cams will play a large role because the video will capture information previously unavailable.”
