Night Driving Tips from Highway Patrol

With earlier sunsets and winter weather comes an increased risk for accidents on the road.

"During my tenure as a trooper, I've seen it where people have gotten impatient," Sgt. Purpura with the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. "And obviously in seconds, things change and it can become a very devastating situation very quickly. If you're a driver passing someone on the side of the road, having patience is key.”

The Ohio State Highway Patrol advises to make sure you have working headlights and taillights first and foremost.
