Highway Patrol Cracks Down on Seat Belt Use

In an effort to ensure safety, Ohio along with six other states are ticketing for not being properly restrained.

“Ohio’s safety belt law is still a secondary violation, but troopers say there is zero-tolerance when drivers are stopped for other violations and are found to not be wearing their safety belt,” as reported by WLWT5 News.

With this new measure, traffic stops will also include officers making sure passengers and drivers are all wearing their seat belts.

Don’t let summer road trips cost you in fines and tickets and buckle up everyone in your family.

It’s vital to remind those new drivers of the importance of staying buckled too and if you or your teen finds themselves facing charges, contact us immediately.
